I was born in World War II England where A Bomber's Night takes place.  My parents fled Germany in 1939 just before the war began and I always wanted to tell their story.

From age 4 to 18 I attended the Manor House School in North London.

My degree, from Edinburgh University, Scotland, is in English Literature and Art History.

When I was sixteen my family traveled to the Middle East on the South Orient Express.  Stories about this adventure are brewing.

I have lived in Alaska for over forty years.  For ten summers my family fished commercially in Bristol Bay.  My next book will be an Alaskan fish camp mystery.
